What is Management of Change?

The purpose of Management of Change is about identifying potential hazards that a change can introduce, then assessing the risks associated with these hazards, and systematically addressing them.

Failure to manage change properly has been a significant contributory cause in many major incidents. Changes can impact on the availability and reliability of your site, plant, facilities and equipment, the safety and effectiveness of employees, product quality and consistency, and on the environment.

This EHSCHELON Management of Change Module will enable changes to be clearly described, apply a risk assessment, has an defined approval process, and allows for the  management of all the actions associated with the change and has a recording system to demonstrate a Management of Change has been followed.

The key to an effective Management of Change system is that people understand and recognise change, have the necessary competencies and the ability to deploy the appropriate risk assessment process
