Contractor Management
Organisations that employ contractors must ensure that contractors and their employees are not exposed to health and safety risks. Organisations have the same duty of care towards contractors as they do towards their own employees.
Contractors are also required to be proactive in identifying and reporting potential workplace hazards. It is important for contractors to be aware of workplace procedures.
The EHSCHELON Contractor Management module manages compliance information for contractors and holds key documentation.
The module holds an ‘Approved Contractor list’, documents information on individual contractors, including induction and training records for their employees and insurance details and renewal dates.
The system has incorporated within it, an in built approval process flow with pre-qualification questionnaires which are completed by the contractor and authorised by the hiring company are completed so only authorised and compliant contractors can be given admission to a site.
The Contractor Management module can be combined with the Procurement Portal module.
The EHSCHELON Management System allows access to all modules via the internet thereby widening accessibility to all contractors including via mobile devices. Contractors can view safety information, complete safety questionnaires, provide information on insurance details and attach supporting documentation such as risk assessments and method statements whilst out of the office.
